The hypothesis is that the coefficient of friction will drop slightly during the experiment going form the lowest grade to the highest grade. This would happen due to the size and the texture of the surface. First, the lower grades are rougher so the ice will stick to it better. The higher grades will prove to be not as sticky as the lower grades, thus a lower coefficient of friction will result. |
