Hypothesis


We believe that if the paintball is fired at a higher angle that the air density will be less therefore making the air resistance less, maximizing range.

Experiment


We obtained a paintball gun and made a platform that can be raised We loaded each paintball one at a time(fig.1). We shot the paintball gun at various angles in intervals of 5 degrees. We took three shots at every angle then measured the distance with a 300’ tape (fig.2). To make sure that we didn’t measure the same shot twice we covered the paint splatters with leaves and rocks.
